Returns Policy
Please contact us within 5 days of receipt of the item and then send it back within 10 days for a refund of the item cost. The item must be returned in its original box and packaging and be unworn. Please note, this does not apply to bespoke items, or earrings. You are responsible for the return postage, which must be trackable and insured. Please email us to move this forward, or use the ‘Contact Us’ form.
Cancellation Of Orders
You have 10 days to notify me that you have changed your mind. Please contact us to move this forward, or use the ‘Contact us’ form. For any commission or bespoke order that you cancel, you will forfeit the non-refundable deposit of 20% that is required for all commissions in silver, and the cost of the metal for those in gold. However, on the very rare occasion, that we need to cancel the commission, you will be notified either verbally, or written, and any deposit payment fully refunded.
Item Developed A Fault
Due to unforseen events items can develop faults, your statutory rights fully respected. Let us know as soon as possible after purchase if you find this has happened. You have 30 days to return it for a refund; after that it can only be a partial refund. If you have accidentally damaged it, send it back to us, and we will see what we can do to fix it. Please return by Royal Mail Special Delivery if UK based / International track and trace as this is the only insured and trackable service. For Australia, a special courier service is needed, please do contact me, as this is a very expensive option.
Item Arrived Damaged
Sometimes the Postal Service may have a role in the way your item has arrived. All Omerta Jewellery pieces are robustly packaged. If it has been damaged as a result of postage, then we need to inform them as soon as possible, so we will need a photo of the damage to show the postal courier in order to start a claim. Please return the item to us via a trackable and insured route. In the UK Special Delivery is recommended, you will be refunded. Internationally please contact me to agree the best method.
All jewellery purchased from the website should be handled with care. Omerta Jewellery pieces are all made from sterling silver, fine silver or 9ct gold and will be hallmarked according to the Hallmarking Act 1973. Individual silver pieces under 7.8g (gold under 1g) are not required to be hallmarked by law and in those cases will not be hallmarked. All stones are semi precious or precious and will vary in hardness and strength. Even though metal is fairly hard wearing as with any item that is worn it will wear with age. Rings worn next to each other will rub and wear down over time, but handled with care your jewellery should last a long time. Keeping it clean, regularly silver dipping or polishing with a silver cloth, will avoid your silver pieces from becoming overly tarnished and becoming difficult to clean.
Silver, in contrast to gold, tarnishes in air over time. If worn regularly your silver jewellery will retain it's sparkle as the oils in your skin will protect the surface from the air. If you have a piece of silver which has been left for some time without being worn and has turned dull or black, a quick rub with a polishing cloth should bring back the shine.

First introduced in 1300, hallmarking is the oldest consumer protection legislation in the world. Hallmarking began when silver and goldsmiths took their wares to the Goldsmiths Hall in London to be tested for metal purity or fineness. A stamp or ‘Mark’ was punched into the metal as a surety in the great hall – hence the name ‘HALLMARK’.
It is a legal requirement that all items in the UK sold as silver, gold, platinum or palladium should be hallmarked by one of the four UK Assay Offices or an assay office belonging to the International Convention to provide you with the reassurance you need that what you’re buying really is what you think you’re buying.
All of the Omerta Jewellery pieces are verified independently by the London Assay Office at Goldsmiths Hall in London unless they weigh less than the exemption rates. Please see below.

• All Silver articles weighing more than 7.78 grams must be hallmarked
• All Gold articles weighing more than 1 gram must be hallmarked
Articles below these exemption weights may be described as Gold, Silver, Palladium or Platinum without the need for a hallmark. All Omerta Jewellery pieces are made using Sterling Silver, Fine Silver and 9ct Gold, unless commissioned otherwise.
